Robert Crane
Having worked in the field of management education for over twenty years, Dr. Robert Crane has built a solid reputation for competence in the areas of international development, cross cultural business applications, and institutional entrepreneurship in Eastern and Western Europe and North America.
His career has spanned such management institutions as the J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University near Chicago, EM-Lyon in France, and the International Management Center (now the Business School of the Central European University) in Budapest. He has developed and/or run customized programs for executives for such firms as Baker & McKensie (the world’s largest law firm at the time), McKinsey and Company, Société Générale (now SocGen), and others.
Dr. Crane holds degrees in French literature (B.A., M.A., Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill) and translation M.A. from the University of Lyon, France). He also studied management (Young Managers’ Program and Executive MBA at Cranfield University in the U.K.). He speaks French and German in addition to his native English.
Karen Weisblatt
With 15 years senior management and teaching experience in Universities in Europe, Ms. Weisblatt spent a decade as Senior Project Manager and Adjunct Professor at the French "Grande Ecole" Sciences Po - Fondation Nationale des Sciences Politiques. Her strengths are in corporate-university partnering, international program development and global needs assessment.
Prior to her academic career she worked as a researcher and writer for several European human rights organizations, primarily focusing on problems in the former Soviet Union. She has been widely published and has also contributed to a number of European television productions. Among her academic awards for innovative research projects are selection and publication of her proposal to Create an American College in Moscow by the Foreign Policy Institute of the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University and a Thomas J. Watson Fellowship to study Soviet dissidents in the U.S.S.R. and Western Europe.
Ms. Weisblatt holds graduate degrees in International History and Comparative Politics from the Sorbonne Paris I (MPhil/D.E.A.) and the London School of Economics (Msc) respectively, and is a graduate of Oberlin College in the United States. She speaks French and Russian.
