18th International Conference on Engineering Design : ICED11,
which will be held at The Technical University of Denmark, on 15th-18th August 2011.
We invite high-quality submissions for ICED11, on topics that cover
substantial, original and previously unpublished research. Applied,
theoretical and results-oriented papers from both academia and
industry, based on rigorous analysis or argumentation, will all be
considered for inclusion. Submissions should aim to fit into one of
the nine conference themes, see www.iced11.org.
ICED is a biannual conference, with a growing academic and industrial
audience. The conference has its roots in engineering, but has
radically broadened in scope, to a general understanding of designing
as an activity, its human factors and knowledge aspects, its composed
and multi-disciplinary nature, and its societal role and importance.
Design has a central role in bringing engineering and technology to
practical use. We have chosen, therefore, that ICED11 will focus on
the balancing of the societal impact of engineering design.
